Usage

Marks a strong personal guess, so it often co-occurs with sentence-final でしょう / だろう / はず. Also softens promises and hopes: きっと連絡れんらくするね = 'I'll definitely be in touch.'

Easily confused with

必ず必ず = an objective 100% guarantee; きっと = subjective confidence — high, but still the speaker's guess. おそらくきっと is confident and conversational; おそらく is a more formal, hedged 'probably' (lower certainty).
